Dr. Workneh: Ethiopia keen to cooperate with ICAO for new progress in aviation.
Foreign Minister Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu meeting with Dr. Fang Liu Secretary General of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) on Tuesday reiterated that Ethiopia stands committed to strengthen its international cooperation and coordination with the ICAO for new progress and achievements in aviation industry.
The Foreign Minister also stressed the need to continue to work together with ICAO aiming at linking the aviation growth momentum with the agenda of sustainable development, inclusive growth as well as African integration and unity.
Dr. Fang Liu who was appreciative of Ethiopia’s commitment in the development of its aviation sector expressed her hope that Ethiopia could be a successful story in linking aviation investments with UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
Both sides discussed issues related to aviation safety and security as well as Ethiopia’s achievements in the development of its aviation industry.
