Foreign Minister Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu receiving the outgoing Ambassador of Ghana to Ethiopia Ambassador Albert Yankey reiterated today that Ethiopia values its historic relations with Ghana. The Foreign Minister who conveyed his gratitude to the Ambassador for his role in stimulating the ties of the two countries for the greater benefit of the two peoples pointed out that both countries are active participants and contributors for the promotion African agenda and interests in regional and international fora. The Foreign Minister suggested the urgency to make full use of the existing potential of the bilateral relation for the betterment of the two peoples.
The outgoing Ambassador of Ghana to Ethiopia Ambassador Albert Yankey who paid a farewell call on Foreign Minister Workneh Gebeyehu expressed his thanks to the government and people of Ethiopia for the support accorded to his mission in the country. The Ambassador who noted the long-standing Ethio-Ghanian ties grounded on the principle of Pan-Africanism stressed the need to put the signed agreements into practice for the mutual benefit of the two peoples.
