High-Level Revitalization Forum underway
The High-Level Revitalization Forum that was kicked off in Addis Ababa on Monday (December 18, 2017) has continued with a good spirit of solidarity and determination by all the parties to the process stressing on the need to exploit this opportunity to end the misery of their South Sudanese brothers and sisters.
On the basis of the agendas endorsed at the 59th Extraordinary Session of IGAD Council of Ministers and put primarily on the table by Foreign Minister of Ethiopia and Chairperson of IGAD Council of Ministers, Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu, participants of the Forum have continued discussing on good faith on two key topics; ceasefire and delivery of humanitarian aid.
It was to be recalled that Dr. Workneh has strongly urged all parties to entrust themselves to the Forum with a genuine political commitment to find lasting solution and spare no efforts for a successful outcome of the HLRF.
AU, UN, EU, Troika, IGAD Partners Forum (IPF), China and other delegates from the international community has strongly expressed their unflinching support to the Revitalization Process.
