Ethiopia sprints ahead from 103rd to 66th largest economy in the world.
According to a report in the Financial Times, in 2020, Ethiopia is set to be the 66th world largest economy, up from 103rd in 2005, overtaking countries like Kenya, Guatemala, and Bulgaria.
Ethiopia’s economy has been expanding at an average annual rate of 10 per cent in the 12 years to 2016 and growth is expected to remain strong in the years ahead, supported by higher agricultural production, and large public sector and foreign direct investment, the report added.
